MUSICAL EVENT AT ŠTRAND
Over 100 artists travelling on the river of 12 thousand kilometers, in front of more than 300 thousand spectators is the intended goal of the river trip of the Austrian musician Hubert Von Goizern, whose ship, currently on the “European Tour Linz 2007-2009”, has docked at Štrand last night and performed a real musical event in front of a large audience. With this journey, Goizern proves that art has no limits, promoting at the same time Linz as the European capital of culture for the year 2009. “Floating stage” of Hubert Von Goizern has been impressive while anchored in the popular beach of Novi Sad and emitting the enviable quality level of the sound and picture produced by the band gathered around the Austrian musician. It was interesting to hear how Goizern skillfully transforms and combines all music genres (jazz, blues, rap, funk...) with primary and traditional sounds of Austrian Styria, recognisable by the accordion and yodeling that highly entertained the people of Novi Sad. Goizern’s concert was visited by some eminent guests, popular domestic artists like Boris Kovač and Rambo Amadeus, who performed with their bands “La Campanela” and “Mutant Dance Quartet”.
